Buy a rose for me!” a street vendor yelled in my direction. “Scusi, scusi,” Roman residents said impatiently as they pushed past me.

I was holding up my phone as I climbed, the stairs, trying to capture the exciting energy. Suddenly, the crowd surged, and someone with a huge backpack bumped right into me. In an instant, my phone flew from my hand, hit the ground, and fell down a few steps.

The nearby street vendor scooped up the phone and rushed over to hand it to me. “Thank you so much,” I said gratefully. “Prego, prego!” the street vendor replied. He then pointed to my phone with a look of concern. “It is OK?” he asked.

I nodded as I began inspecting every inch of my new Galaxy S9+. There wasn’t a scratch to be seen.
